Training program on Mental Health Awareness at GNKCW

Ludhiana, September 23, 2024

Under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Department of Psychology of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana in collaboration with COPE Community, Mpower powered by Aditya Birla education trust organised a 3-day training program for the COPE Volunteers and 1-day workshop of General Mental Health Awareness in the college campus from 16th September to 19th September, 2024.



Ms. Anushka Patil from Mumbai was the resource person. During this, First Aid training program, she talked about various mental disorders and the crisis intervention for them, and how they can help the youth suffering from any mental health concern.

Ms. Kusha Mehra, Head of the Psychology Department educated students about the preventive measures with the help of a trainer and shared various case histories.

Principal, Dr. Maneeta Kahlon expressed her views on different disorders and how it is important to address these issues for the betterment of society.
