In a dynamic showcase of creativity and forward-thinking education, BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana, hosted a one-day Training Program on Design Thinking and Innovation, conducted under the aegis of CBSE in collaboration with AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell. The event attracted around 80 principals and teachers eager to embrace new educational paradigms.

The day began with a warm floral welcome for the esteemed dignitaries: *Sh. Shivendra Mani Tripathi, Regional Coordinator ,Ministry of Education Innovation Cell, Harish Sanduja , Director of Schools and IT , Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions, Ms. Kavita Lal , Vice Principal, Suncity School, Gurgaon and Prof. Ravi Poovaiah, Industrial Design Centre, IIT Mumbai. A ceremonial lamp lighting marked the commencement of an exciting day filled with innovative ideas.

Each resource person contributed uniquely to the program. Sh. Shivendra Mani Tripathi highlighted how Design Thinking transcends conventional problem-solving by emphasizing empathy and creativity. Harish Sanduja and Ms. Kavita Lal led a collaborative Toy Design Exercise using the Design Thinking process, encouraging participants to ideate, prototype, and refine toy designs, showcasing how this method can foster creativity in the classroom. Prof. Ravi Poovaiah offered an insightful overview of the Design Thinking and Innovation Curriculum for schools, providing educators with a structured approach to integrating these concepts into everyday teaching.

 Principal Dr. Anuja Kaushal concluded the day by emphasizing the importance of design thinking in cultivating creativity and critical thinking in students. She encouraged educators to embrace this approach, ensuring that innovation continues to thrive in their classrooms.
The program wrapped up with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement among participants, ready to apply these forward-thinking strategies in their educational practices.
