Hindi Diwas celebrated at GNKCW

Under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Department of Hindi of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town celebrated "Hindi Diwas" in the college campus today. This day is celebrated every year in honour of the adoption of Hindi as an official language of India in 1949.
A number of activities were organized including poem recitation, dance performances, Saraswati Vandana, Pantomime, etc. Students of the department also expressed their views on Hindi Diwas. While addressing the students, Ms. Asha, Head of Hindi Department, emphasized on the importance of Hindi Diwas as well as the contemporary importance of the day celebrations.
Principal Dr. Maneeta Kahlon underlined the relevance of such shows which bring out the hidden talent among the students giving them an opportunity to showcase their creativity.
