SC’s no to issuing guidelines for payments to kin of healthcare workers who died of COVID-19

New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Monday refused to direct the Centre and states to formulate guidelines for providing adequate ex-gratia monetary compensation to the next of kin of those who died due to COVID-19.

 

Each state may have a different system depending upon its policy and financial condition and there can't be judicial directions for it, said the top court.
