World Sparrow Day observed at GNKCW

Under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, NSS Unit, EBSB, and the Red Cross Society, Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana, observed World Sparrow Day on Celebrated annually in the college campus today.
World Sparrow Day raises awareness about the declining population of sparrows and the urgent need for conservation. These small yet vital birds, once commonly found in urban backyards and green spaces, have seen a significant decline over the past two decades.
The theme for 2025, "A Tribute to Nature’s Tiny Messengers," emphasized the crucial role sparrows play in maintaining ecological balance and encouraged conservation efforts.
On this occasion, Madam Principal Dr. Maneeta Kahlon engaged in a meaningful discussion with students, highlighting the importance of biodiversity and the need to take proactive steps to protect these tiny yet essential creatures.
