Hisar : Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) held a state-level rally at Pipli near Kurukshetra on Thursday to protest the ordinances of the Centre government.

Traffic was restored near the Pipli highway around 1:30 pm after remaining shut for several hours.

Various farmers and arhtiyas (middlemen) associations extended support to the rally to protest the ordinances which allow private players to purchase agriculture produce.

Farmers and arhtiyas across the state heading to the rally are being stopped by the police at respective districts due to the COVID pandemic.

Krishan Kirmara, a farmers' leader in Hisar said that they were stopped near the toll plaza at Barwala town of Hisar district.
